  No School?

  from what i've been gathering around the internet, jw's are taught that after highschool, higher eduation is not needed.

  they put the idea in one's head that it costs way too much to go to school,and put fear that they'll have a lot of money owed and will be in debt forever.

  okay that may be true, but they do not tell you that there are jr college that cost little to nothing to go, sometimes even free.

  That makes no sense at all. I mean it makes sense what you said, but not what they teach. They do teach about evolution, but they do not teach that it is how we all got here. Maybe they need to go to school to see this. You do nothing but sit in a chair, listen and learn. You are able to voice your own opinion about things. If you wanted to believe we arived from an ape, so be it, you were not brainwashed with it. Philosophy was my favorite class, one of them anyway. And archiology too. I was never taught that we came from apes. We were, however, taught there were ideas of it not that it was a fact.

  From what I've been gathering around the internet, JW's are taught that after highschool, higher eduation is not needed. They put the idea in one's head that it costs way too much to go to school,and put fear that they'll have a lot of money owed and will be in debt forever. Okay that may be true, but they do not tell you that there are JR college that cost little to nothing to go, sometimes even free. I went for free. I think the society wants people to be not higher than a hs diploma so they will NOT get hired to make the money that they could use for school. They say too much time will go to school and not to studying Gods word. That is not exactly true. I had time to go to school, study, hang out with friends and read the Bible for myself. I wonder where they get their facts from? Does that go with all the other ideas that they feed?

  it was of that girl pretending to be sad, and they have her on the wt magazine cover.

  first can someone repost the link and second, can someone tell me if that was an actual picture on a magazine?

  i was logging onto the site today (my log in does not stay because i am on a public computer) so wheni was prompt to put in my email address and pass word and the security number that allows your log in to be successful, my number was 1666 .

  as i have stumbled on, that is the exact same number of pages that the nwt, i'm not even a jw or never been.

  My opinions of Crisis of Conscience and Awakening

  i read the two books.. awakening - this was the story of a married witness woman (elder husband) with family in the religion.

  she had childbirth/blood rh issues and had to deal with not 'associating' with a disfellowshipped daughter.

  throughout the book she wrestles with various issues and suffers mental anguish jumping through hoops because of the religion.

  Death and Resurrection

  good morning all.. i am writing this after learning of my father's death yesterday.

  i am a bit out of sorts to say the least.

  i was fortunate to have been able to talk and laugh with him only last weekend while he was (we thought) recovering from a coma in a long term care facility.

  Thanks! Thank God for mirrors. Why would the society bring suit to those who are trying to spread the truth? Isn't that what people are taught? I think I found that site before , but I does look different then the last time I saw it. Thanks for the post.

  you say, don't take these words seriously, ah man I was going to go in and get lasered. lol I know the numbers mean nothing, it's all computer generated. it was just kind of weird in a funny way because the other day I had three 7's. I guess on that day I should have bought a lotto ticket! lol now if I get three 3's then someone loves me aww. .lol
